This is another painting that I will submit to the "Chrome, Smoke and Flames" artshow in Russell in the fall. I find old autos sitting in fields to be intriquing. This one is from the 50's era. Can't say for sure if it is an R series or an L series, as I don't have a good view to study the grill from the photo. Oops, I just saw I left out the "International" plate just to the left of the door edge. Will get that in and a better photo soon.
Where I stand? I am still not standing, nothing has changed, but soon it will.

Your painting shows so much of what I love about watercolor - the luminescence, the transparency...this is a great piece!

Thanks Serena, Claire and Victoria. I, too, am looking forward to actually looking down and seeing my left foot on the ground. One good thing has come out of my dilemma and that's that I could give myself (forced as it was) time away from oil/pastel/acrylic. Somehow, I always meant to, but couldn't break away long enough to actually experiment. Watercolor takes time..it's so different from the opaque world.

Thanks Carolyn, Diane and Jane. There are so many computer things that are easier on a laptop of desktop, rather than an iPad..that's where life has been these past few months. Not a lot of time on the laptop and more on the iPad. I appreciate your comments, altho, sometimes I don't acknowledge them as soon as I should due to the above mention.
this is really lovely, makes me think of the project i keep saying i am going to do for our local agricultural show. they have an art tent,so i have my eye on an old tractor dying in a field. a little red massey fergusson. good work, very clean.
Thanks Moira. It's sometimes sad to see all the dying machinery in the pastures and fields, such a snapshot of days gone by and a reminder of how hard life might have been.
