Where I Stand Sunday

Little baby steps -
some days good
some not so good.
That is the nature of
the treatments, the illness.
I know so many others,
talk to many who have
gone through this door...
there's little difference
it's a battle any way..
I continue my vigil
I continue with support
I continue to wonder..
will there be a point
where the torrent of illness
becomes the calm upon the sea.
It just has to..
Thanks for all your kind words and supportive comments.
I will return one day soon to continue
with my quest of my life's passion.
In the meantime, know that I do that mental planning
every day...look for that beauty in life, every day..
am still stunned by color and light and shadow and composition
where ever I can find it...it's there - it calls...
and it patiently awaits me.

Where I Stand Sunday

From the bed
to the wheelchair
to the walker
to almost walking on her own...
a long process - but a happening all the same.

Where I Stand Sunday

I should rename my blog "Where I Stand Sunday" because right now, that is all I am able to do. Working a seasonal job in KC and helping take care of my mom who is home from the hospital, but barely back on her feet - I am not complaining - she gets a little better each day - and that's what's most important, just know that I am not in my normal mode, which is being out in the country - living it up and painting. Maybe in a month or so.
