My 3 chickens are almost 2 years old. This little chick was GIVEN to me by my neighbor. Little did he know at the time, what a life this chick would have. She was just hatched when I took the photo I used here, standing in the little box we set up - in the pine shavings. She grew into a beautiful hen - a Speckled Sussex...lays big brown eggs and is such a character.
Her name is Harlough.

OMG this baby is SO CUTE in that pose! Now I almost want to paint chickens next month as a daily paintings! But, I've already promised to my dog to paint her, so maybe March?... :)))
