oh pattie!!! i am so sorry to hear of this fall! it sounds perfectly dreadful and painful!! if there is anything i can do, please let me know. even if it's just sharing great art sites to visit. i hope the healing speeds up, your butt doesn't get numb and your spirits remain high. at least you can still paint while healing. sending you good thoughts!
Pattie, last year about this time I herniated a disc in my lower back that forced me onto my sofa for almost two months. I am not one that takes well to having to be still (I am always running up and down stairs!) - so I especially feel for you having this break that will keep you down for so many weeks. My husband brought my art things into the dining room so that when I was able to sit I could paint. It was a rough time - but it did go by more quickly than I expected. I wish this for you - hope that you heal quickly and well, and that the time just slips by.
Take care.
Pattie, I am so, so sorry, but am grateful your husband is there to help you through this time. Perhaps, in the initial recovery days, this will be a time where you can work on sketches and plans for future works and then when you feel a bit better, you can begin painting. I had foot surgery several years ago, although nothing like what you have gone through, it was difficult staying down. I will say though, take the meds and don't be brave, that's what they are there for. Take care and continue to update us on your recovery.
Patti, I hope you have a very speedy recovery. I'm looking forward to your postings to see how you're doing.
All the best!
Pattie,
...sorry for misspelling your name. I guess I should have 'previewed'.
Take care.
thanks claire, suz, ang and judy - judy, i am used to it on the name spelling....
