Some of you may have already caught this, but the post for Day 4 was not supposed to be until 12:01 AM on Jan. 5.  This challenge began on Jan. 2nd.

An Oil Painting of Canadian Geese on the Wing by Pattie Wall

Yellowstone National Park is one of my favorite destinations.  These Canadian Geese were flying in many flocks over the marsh area of the Yellowstone River, near Hayden Valley.  It was fun to watch them as they took off over the creamy gold and green landscape.

Daily Watercolor Painting

Having watched several of the Discovery Channel's series "Life" -
I am so inspired by
all of the animals on our planet. 
Flamingoes are the most interesting birds. 
The bobbing and movement of their heads is phenomenal on those long necks. 
Perhaps a few more touches on this one…have to get a matboard for an
11” x 14” frame going around it to see what it looks like then. 
I have found it is difficult to go DARK with the hues.  I tend to keep it too light. 
The photo of these flamingoes showed them all entangled…I untangled a few to help it read better.
