Next Three

Our local artist's guild is doing it's best - during these times.  As you can imagine, like any small business, Covid 19 really put a damper on ART activities and events in towns and cities.  Ours is not alone.  Each month, I am happy to be able to enter a show and display my art.  (It's important to keep yourself out there.)  These are the three that I am entering in a show titled "High Peaks" this next month.  Interesting that you don't have to adhere to the theme.  That's good, because I suck at painting 'peaks' and mountains.  Animals it is - for me!

"Golden Eagle"

"Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep Study"

"Armadillo"

Your paintings have personalities of their own. I expected the armadillo would be the one I like best, but it is the big horn sheep study. I guess there's a fascination with how they stand on those steep mountain sides appearing to not have a care in the world. That kind of freedom is liberating to view in art.

Thank you - we saw some Bighorn's right off the road trying to navigate a hill that had NO ROCKS near the reservoir last week. The little ones and the big ones, so precariously balanced on this sandy hill - if one misstep, doomsday by the amount of cars and trucks traveling down that highway at the time. I think they made it, but it was like their own little practice gymnasium. Amazing animals. The ones in this study are from a herd that is off another highway we take to town. Sometimes I see photos of them standing in the road..facing off with one another.
