New Listings on Etsy - New Art Hangin in the Galleries - Life is Good!

It's 98° outside, the mosquitoes are about to carry us away..so inside I work today!

Made a trip to Independence Gallery in Loveland, Co. last week for "Night on the Town"
and added new art to the walls there.

Now showing and selling art at Paul Wood Florist in Fort Collins, Co.

Interested in something on this blog that you don't see for sale, let me know.

While I was in Fort Collins, I celebrated the upcoming birth of my 2nd grandaughter, Sterling.
She will arrive sometime in the next 5 or 6 weeks.

AND...I got my Colorado FIX!  Love that state - someday - maybe -  I will live closer to there!

My son-in-law is a VERY talented artist - it was great to see the B & W series he is working on
and be in his studio a bit.  He is an awesome acrylic painter who has painted a lot of people!

This week will perhaps find me back in my OWN studio!

Now Stocking My ETSY Shop

In the sidebar you can click on my name jopwall below "Etsy" and go straight to my shop.  I took all items out of my shop before I went to be with and help my mom.  I now have some new items listed there.  It was good to clean the shop and start fresh.  Several items include 'free shipping'.
I will be adding some newer paintings  in the days to come.
Thanks for looking!   http://www.etsy.com/shop/jopwall

A Painting for Today

"Poppies" 8" x 10" oil on canvas board, SOLD
Usually I don't paint 'flowers'. This photo (of course there aren't these growing right now) was in my source file. Don't know if I took it or if it was one that either mom or Teresa took. It's been awhile. I loved how it played out with the darks and the highlights/lighting. Couldn't get the shine out of the right side of the photo, as the paint was still wet and the northlight was shining very bright off the snow.

I am growing to like oil painting more and more, and that's a good thing, especially where I live, the moist air plays heck on my pastel and sand papers, they warp and twist.

Adventures in Pyrography

Last year about this time, I purchased a cheapo woodburning set and some little wood pieces and tried my hand at woodburning.  I made a few...
