Figurative Portrait in Oil

"Ädvice from the Little Black Dress"
Painted in Oil
on Arches oil paint paper
8"x 8"
I had some leftover paint on my palette that was perfect for skin tones, so I grabbed this Arches that I had toned with red oxide and painted a quick one.  I liked the attitude that came forward and therefore the title.

This is a great little painting Pattie...love the expression and composition. Sounds like it went down fairly quickly with all those colours ready to go.

Wow you are one busy gal, I can't believe how much you have done since I was here last. Love the new portrait and big improvements on the flower paintings. Did you paint the portrait from a photo? Great to catch up with you, hugs

Comes in spurts these days Barb - lots to do on the farmstead to get ready for weather changing - just as it is in many places. Anyway - it seems that my art takes backseat when LIFE calls..but with the weather changing, comes more time in the studio! Portrait painted with a photo nearby - but changed drastically, so photo inspiration was in place. Painted more for the feeling rather than likeness. Thanks for stopping by!
