Max and Major are two Belgian draft horses that live 

down the road from me.

I have painted one of them - long time ago.  

They are such a part of this local landscape.

I often find them near the fence on the road when 

I want to photograph them,

they are sometimes coy.

But if you hang around long enough, they warm up to you and stand 

to stare back.
