Just One More Thing

My new website is up and running!  For those of you wondering about making an artist's website, this one is free.  You can buy your domain name, which I did.  It is super simple to use, fun to put together and a place that I can now send perspective clients and interested individuals - a place to view my most recent and best work!

Check it out...tell me what you think!

Looks good to me. Like your dog, snesking a nap on the sofa.

That dog is Shiloh, a commission I did for a friend. Shiloh was a sweetheart - she's no longer around. That's the only thing I wonder about, the way the tool works for "photo gallery" you can't add captions or titles. If I want to upload individual photos, I CAN title them, but I like the look of all the photos in a nice neat tiled bunch of squares, instead of a variety of sizes. I don't think it matters if they have titles on the website. Do you? That's why I am asking for thoughts on this one. It's supposed to be more for the viewer than the artist in this case.

Nice, one thing I saw missing was a link to your blog, if can I would recommend your adding it. I love the clean, organized, easy to use look and focus on the art, fantastic!

Great website, it is well done and looks very professional.

I love the portrait of Shiloh, I should make a point of doing some pet portraits.

You mentioned your website was "free" can you share who is hosting it?

It's a very beautiful website, your paintings all tiled like that are breathtaking. I don't think you need worry about titles. I just love the page of animals, it makes you go "that's my favorite, no, that one, no, maybe that one!"

The website is just beautiful. The color layout and the painting are (I know I shouldn't say this...) breathtaking. I know that sounds like overkill, but I took a surprised little breath when I saw it. Very very pretty. Sweet dog, beautiful website.

You will be amazed. Of course you can purchase the "pro" upgrade for a few dollars a month, but for now, I think I will sit back and see how this one works for me.

My link to my blog is hiding in the body of the "about me" page, there - you will find a clicking link. Maybe I need another one somewhere. Thanks, Victoria.

Adventures in Pyrography

Last year about this time, I purchased a cheapo woodburning set and some little wood pieces and tried my hand at woodburning.  I made a few...
