The plant on the right is a really neat spiky cactus...it will go in last. BTW, Zinnias stink after a few days in water, even if you change the water each day. Had to finally take a photo for my reference as the flowers had to go out the door.

This is coming really nice. Interesting fact about Zinnias. I love the look of the blog now, easy to read, and the white around the pictures makes 'em pop!
That's good to know about zinnias, Pattie! Looks like a great start, can't wait to see more progress pics.
Thanks Leann and Diane - I talked with my expert floral designer (my daughter) and she said you should always remove the leaves on stems below the water...and that would eliminate the smell for awhile. I had left the leaves on, because I like the look of those big leaves in the water behind the glass...creates great interesting color and diffusion.
