WIP - Girl on Porch

Work in progress.  Small 6" x 6" canvas, working in oil.
Old photo of my daughter - a little bit of work to do.
One thing is certain, upon photographing your artwork, you really see where
to work next - not always obvious just looking at it on the easel.  Right now, I see more
areas than I thought I would.

Wow, I can't believe this is only 6" x 6"! You packed a lot of punch on a small canvas...

This looks terrific Pattie. I really like the highlights in her hair and the beautiful skin tones. She's a very lovely young lady.

Thanks Bev and Vern. I have had to let it dry, not able to add to it right now. That daughter is now 33. Time flies. She is my best subject.

Pattie, what a beautiful painting! And your daughter was such a pretty little girl. Yes, time flies!

Really lovely start... and I so agree that photographing your art helps you see and critique it better.

Love the cat in the next post as well..

Thanks Camille and Marian! Sorry it took me awhile to acknowledge your visit. I'm back at it for now!

Crimeny, Pattie! This is spectacular! I need to get over here more often.

Thanks Susan! I haven't heard that word in so long, but I remember it a lot when I was little - thanks for the memories! LOL
