Where I Stand Sunday

Happy Easter - from the 'studio away from the studio'.  I know it is a special holiday, however,  I am spending it in the way that I want to and need to, in front of the easel.  This is the latest commission...the beginning, of course.  I sort of wish I could leave it in this whimsical state, and it may just end up looking like that anyway.  I like it alot!  I had to 'grid' the features - so I could get the likeness perfectly.  I think what is helping me feel so good about this one is my love for the 'belgian linen' surface of the canvas.  Picked some of these canvases up at Jerry's Artarama in Fort Collins while there.   Maybe I will focus on more dog breeds in this manner upon returning home.   I will make a trip to have breakfast with my mom in the nursing home this morning and wish her a Happy Easter.\

This is a Chow Chow - more progress later.  Have a super day however you spend it!
Where I Stand Sunday is an ongoing photo essay examining the different places I spend my life standing.

Too often we take for granted the everyday places we spend our lives walking on.
There are several others who also write this on Sunday, see sidebar.
