Number 9 of 30 Paintings in 30 Days

"Mandy and Elle"
10" x 10"
oil on canvasboard

I almost always start out with a
red oxide underpainting.
On this one I left some of it showing through
as I liked it -
it gives a reddish edge.
These two were kittens when I took this photo -
they were sharing a chairback by the
long windows.
They belong to my brother and sister-in-law.
They have beautiful LOOOONG tails.
Very sweet and fun!

After I photographed the painting,
I finished that space
just in the distance
where the oxide red was
really showing along the
deck rail, on the left.

Whenever I photograph my work,
I see gobs of stuff to fix.
But I am letting that go
during this challenge.
