Day 13 of 30 in 30

"Oliver and Parker"
6" x 8"
oil on Raymar plein air panel
SOLD

I have been feeling like I wasn't spending very much time on my 30 in 30 challenge and needed a more involved challenge - so I took on 'this one'.
Intricate and involved to say the least plus a 'flash' photo - reading it wrong.
I can't get the white, white enough, so I need to tone down around where the whitest area are. There are more pieces of it that still need some tweaking especially since I have photographed it.

I see areas I wonder, "what was I doing there???", but it has to be done for now, so I can move on to Day 14.

Do you have pieces that you intend to revisit?

"Oliver and Parker", they were worth it. Nice painting, really.
One day you may come back to it and say, "This is really good".
Revisit? All of the time, though I try to resist, but some just demand it.
Have fun with #14! : )

Thanks for your comments and answering my question - yes, some demand it don't they? I will see if I can let some of the heavier areas dry before I go back in for 'fixin'. Today, paint will be slinging again!

A diificult piece, with the notan tissue, and those kitten are lovely!
Revisit paintings, always! They are in my livingroom, diningroom, around me, so after a while I don't notice them, after another while I see their defaults, and somtimes correct them.
Ps why do you keep those silly captchas?(have a look on my blog's sidebar to read about them)...

Thanks Sylviane...had no way to know that those captchas were there...as they aren't there for me. I will check your blog.

These guys are adorable! My fav. so far! And, of course, YES, I usually plan to revisit mine. Even if it is just for a tweak here and there. I love the freshness of this piece, so don't get carried away! :-D

That is true Sandy - I have been carefully thinking about what I will need to do and do only the minimum. It became a commission overnight...so I want to preserve that freshness for certain!

I try not to revisit, but sometimes it is impossible to resist! This is really working for me, and the black and white fabric behind the cats is fantastic. I am not sure what you could do to improve this!

I have never revisited mine yet. I dont have the patience i think. Doing one painting a day is challenging enough.
