Day 9 of 30 in 30 Painting Challenge

"Bear Shadow"
9" x 12"
oil on canvasboard

This bear was such fun to paint.  I could have painted him bigger in the space, but wanted to show the shadow all the way out to near the edge...so chose this size.  He is going to look good in a reddish brown frame!
As you can see I am really into purple these days.

This is a nice bear painting. Great colors and composition. Looks like the fellow who came by my place in August looking for apples.

Thanks Crazy Raven - hope that bear you saw just came by and left quickly.

I commented on Facebook but just wanted to say I just love your bear. The colors of his fur are so rich, very nice!

Barb - thanks so much. I was so pleased with this bear, but sometimes you never know how other people will see it. Your comments are so appreciated...it means it was a success to me when another artist likes it.
